LEAGUE MATCH DRAW WINNERS                 

Monday 25th January      FOXY NOMINATED FOR FA's GROUNDSMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD
Trafford's Groundsman Graham Foxall (pictured right) has been nominated for the FA's Groundsman Of The Year Award as described by the following statement from the Unibond League.

The Football Association's "Groundsman of the Year" awards for this season attracted nominations from a quarter of the UniBond League's member clubs with the entries, as last year, of a very high calibre.
These entries were reduced to eleven from marks awarded by match day referees. The eleven remaining candidates then had to complete a comprehensive questionnaire which, along with the marks awarded by match day referee, were considered in detail after yesterday's Board Meeting.

The five successful nominations being put forward by the League are as follows -
Belper Town
Boston United
Colwyn Bay
Loughborough Dynamo
Trafford
The League thanks all the clubs who took the time and trouble to enter this season's awards. The standard is very high as witnessed by the fact that in 2008 the UniBond League nominations took first and second place nationally and in 2009 had second and third place nationally.
Hopefully this season's five nominations will again be to the forefront when the Football Association experts have visited all the grounds up and down the country that have been put forward.

The Shawe View pitch is in good condition & it looks like 'game on' on Wednesday night, at last.

Saturday 16th January      MATCH NIGHT CHANGED
The next game Trafford v Hyde United in the Manchester Premier Cup has been changed from the usual Tuesday night to Wednesday 20th January because the Man City v Man United semi-final 1st leg is live on BBC 1 on Tuesday !!

The committee are meeting at 2.00pm today in the clubhouse for a chat & a drink, everybody is welcome.
